Finance & Admin Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Review company financial statements and monthly management report to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting standards and group policies.
  • Liaise with SSC to ensure timely reporting for KLSE quarterly announcements and annual reports and to ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.
  • Liaise with auditors on conformity of practices and procedures, tax agents on tax matters, and SSC on financial reporting, etc.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, bankers, lawyers and etc
  • Liaise with JV Partners
  • Other ad-hoc assignments such as corporate exercise, financing and gathering information for merchant banker, SC, Valuer, solicitors etc.
  • Giving guidance to staff when they face difficulties
  • Conversant with the practical applications of local accounting standards and practices and compliance procedures.
  • Liaise with SSC for preparation of Group budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitoring of companies performance (P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow) vs. projections.
  • Liaising with Group HR to review financial performance of companies versus business plan targets.
  • Review and follow up on action plans to improve internal control weaknesses identified in GIAD reports.
  • Perform period reviews on internal controls in the companies.
  • Seek ways to improve cost accounting and internal control systems.
  • Monitor and follow on key risk issues identified in ERM reports and to make period reports to the group risk management committee.
  • Perform analytical reviews of Companies performance against market / industry benchmarks.
  • Develop appropriate KPI’s for operating companies.
  • Advise Senior Management on the financial implications of key operational decisions.
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies and investment analysis on proposed new projects.
  • Any other duties as and when assigned.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Minimum 4 years relevant work experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to understand management concepts, motivate and lead staff as well as deal with external authorities and other external business associates.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently (domestic and overseas)
  • Based in Shanghai, China
