Full-time Associate Credit Advisor

Purpose
As an Associate Credit Advisor you will be responsible for providing Target brand interactions with delinquent accountholders and negotiates acceptable payment arrangements to ensure our credit and store relationships are protected.

• Performing outbound collections interacting with delinquent guests and negotiating payment arrangements
• Providing Target branded interactions with credit accountholders by treating them with respect and appreciation, displaying courtesy and friendliness, recognizing various accountholder segments and providing appropriate workable solutions
• Clearly understanding and abiding by all credit policies and procedures, account payment terms, billing/collection systems and various state and federal laws, rules and regulations governing credit and collections
• Demonstrating problem solving skills by probing or making suggestions for the handling of exceptional account situations (e.g., bankruptcy, CCC, deceased, legal, fraud, billing disputes, etc.)
• Recognizing various accountholder segments and makes appropriate offers
• Displaying positive interactions within work team by contributing to group problem-solving and morale
• Assuming and carries out other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Strong communications, negotiating and decision making skills
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Displays a positive and flexible attitude

Desired Requirements:

• Previous collections/business experience
• BA/BS degree
• PC and Windows experience
